Editorial Policy
How we choose what to cover, how we test it, and how we correct mistakes.
Readers make decisions about their skin, hair and nails based on what we publish. This page explains how we work so you can judge that trust for yourself.
How we choose what to cover
Our editors decide what to write about. Nobody buys their way onto Vernista. Being sent a product, being invited to an event, or running an advertising campaign with us has no bearing on whether we cover something or what we conclude.
How we test
[Describe your process: who tests, for how long, on what skin or nail types, under what conditions, how many people are involved.] Where we have not tested something ourselves, we say so plainly in the article.
Where our information comes from
We cite manufacturers, published research and named experts, and we link to sources where we can. When we quote a professional we say who they are and what they do. Where evidence is thin or contested, the article says that rather than papering over it.
This is not medical advice
Vernista publishes beauty and wellness journalism. It is not medical, dermatological or health advice, and it is no substitute for a consultation with a qualified professional. If you have a skin, nail or health concern, please see a doctor or a registered practitioner.
Commercial content
Affiliate links, gifted products and sponsored articles are always labelled. Our Disclosure sets out exactly how.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly and openly. Significant corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date. Write to [EMAIL: corrections@vernista.com] and tell us what is wrong and, if you can, where the right information is.
Who we are
